pallet Bumper

The palletBumper is mounted on the fork carriage of a forklift or a reachtruck and has an impact block at the bottom. Mounting a palletBumper on a carriage is easy.

The palletBumper is suitable for fork carriers FEM 2a (pB2a) or b (pB2b) and FEM 3a pB3a) or b (pB3b). Large sizes or special versions on request. All palletBumpers have a steel frame in the color RAL9021 (Powder Coated) and Impact Blocks made of Polyamid or HDPE. There are four basic versions:

  1. standard: for pallets with pallet loads on or within the circumference of a pallet.
  2. overhang: for pallets with pallet loads outside the circumference of a pallet.
  3. flex: for pallets with products in bags or Big Bags (FIBC).
  4. wing: for wingpallets

The palletBumper standard is the version if the package is on or within the edge of the pallet. The low mounted impact block keeps the heel of the fork (the radius in the corner) clear of the pallet edge and keeps the upright parts of the forks clear of the packages.

The heel cannot push wood splinters out of the pallet and the upright parts cannot break pallet boards and damage packaging.

The palletBumper overhang is the version if packages are standing over the edge of the pallet (overhang). The impact block is made longer to compensate the overhang. The impact block hits the pallet in the centre en keeps the upright parts of the forks clear of the packages.

Boxes outside the surface of the pallet

The figure shows how the pallet Bumper (shown in green color) keeps the forks and the curve in the corner clear of the pallets and boxes. The pallet Bumper is therefore provided with a longer Impact Block. Collision damage to the pallet and to the boxes can be prevented with the pallet Bumper overhang.

Top block keeps the top of the forks free from the FIBC

The figure shows how the top block of the pallet Bumper (shown in green color) keeps the top of the forks clear of the FIBC. When lifting a pallet, the top of the forks can cause cracks in a FIBC or other types of flexible packaging. (bags). The top block on the pallet Bumper flex prevents tearing when lifting the pallet with bags.
